Description

Fun and Funky HOUSEBOAT! nestled in a protected marina in Boston Harbor.

The houseboat's eleven foot ceilings with exposed beams, ceiling fans and air conditioning, provide a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. A full size refrigerator, sink, microwave and cook-top stove makes cooking easy. It has a comfortably sized bathroom with a full size shower. The Master Bedroom has a queen sized bed, closet storage and a patio door leading to a private deck. Two twin beds in the sleeping loft are a great spot for kids, and the sleep sofa and aero bed provide additional sleeping options.

All the amenities of home but with all that Boston has to offer is at your doorstep. Minutes from any downtown location by foot, water shuttle, or free bus, discover Boston's waterfront 'in the water.' Our houseboat is just a few minutes walk from the Freedom Trail, Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution. Imagine relaxing up on the roofdeck, drink in hand, and worries far away.

Free Wifi, Parking, Large Sundeck, Sleeps 5+:

WiFi is included free with the rental. The houseboat is fully air-conditioned and heated. An Aero-bed offers additional sleeping options, as does the living room sleep sofa. There’s a ton of outdoor sunning area: a front and back porch with a gas grill and a roof sun deck. The boat is large enough to comfortably accommodate up to four adults or 2 adults with a few children. This unusual and funky craft comes complete with a private stateroom with a queen-sized bed, a full bath with shower, plenty of closet space, a full-size eat-in kitchen with standard size fridge, stove and oven, microwave, and all the needed utensils and cookware.

What's on the boat?:

We provide an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and loads of bathroom products such as soaps, shampoos, and lotions. All sheets and towels are provided. We even include lots of cooking ingredients such as coffee, herbs, spices, condiments, etc... All this for less than the price of the smallest rooms at any of the nearby downtown waterfront hotels! Here are some comments from our previous guests:

07/24/09 Positive Great accomodations! The kids loved having their own space. The free MGH shuttle bus to the T station or the ferry to the aquarium makes getting around Boston a breeze. The bed is very comfortable! Thanks Ryan!

07/18/09 Positive What a great week-end! The houseboat accommodations were perfect...better than a hotel. The location was amazing! It was really fun watching all the ships come through the harbor accompanied by tugboats. The marina was quiet and other boaters were very friendly. Looking forward to another stay. And by the way...the bed was more comfortable than my own!!

What a way to experience Boston! Ryan, thank you so much for allowing my dog and I the chance to truly explore Boston like a local! The boats are beautiful, the bed was sooo comfortable (loved the memory foam!) After figuring out how to use the coffee maker, I loved making a different cup each time, and enjoying it up in the lounge chair on the roof deck.

We will definitely be back, look forward to exploring your boats in the other cities.

06/05/08 Positive What a contrast to a hotel in a big city, and a
relaxing getaway offering easy access to the sights
of Boston! The boat is clean, quaint and cozy, and
was recently moved to a dock providing less motion
and better views. It's equipped with all the comforts
of home--dishes, utensils, linens, etc.-- including
a much appreciated coffee maker, filters and coffee
in the freezer! We stayed mid-May and would have
loved kinder weather as it was rainy and windy at
times-- but it will be fabulous for guests this
summer and fall. Do not worry about motion; it is
gentle and peaceful, and as other guests have
commented, the soft rocking lulls one easily to
sleep.
Hop a water taxi for $1.75 to the Aquarium, Legal
Seafood restaurant, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market and
other sights along Freedom Trail. Be sure to check
out the State House and take the free tour. Walk to
the REAL Cheers bar. Also spend time on Old
Ironsides, its museum and the 2nd WW battleship
nearby, all free and in easy walking distance. For
dinner head to the north end, laden with Italian
fare--our favorite was "Cibo" soon to be renamed
"Ponza"--everything made fresh and to order, and
reasonable. There's lots more to do but we just had
a few days this time and those were the highlights.

Andy was a thoughtful and caring host (with a great
sense of humor!), always available when we had any
questions. The crescendo was his connection with a
water taxi service that picked us up at our dock
($30/couple plus tip) and whisked us to a hotel
where we picked up a free 5-min. bus to the
airport.
All in all, very enjoyable and highly recommended!

06/05/08 Positive This must be what an infant feels like. Every now and then someone comes along and rocks your cradle ever so gently just to make you feel safe. Usually, on vacation, you can't wait to get out and get going. On the Float!, you just want to take your coffee outside and enjoy what God gave you...the sun, the sky and the water. Thank God we know Boston well, because we wanted to stay on board as long as we could in the morning doing just that. A minor mishap occurred because of a previous renter, but it did absolutely nothing to hurt our stay. It is spacious enough, clean, comfortable and delightful. I don't sail, so don't let that stop you from experiencing the houseboat. It's so gentle, you hardly notice the sway, and at night, when you're in bed, it's downright comforting. We had a wonderful 44th Anniversary on board and hope to celebrate our 45th there as well.

01/14/08 Positive Oh my words can't even describe the fun time we had renting the House Boat Float. When you walked on land you could still feel rocking motion. Me and the kids never slept so good. The rocking at night is awesome. We could walk every where and I'm from the area so I know all the good places to eat and buy gifts to bring home. We loved the boat so much we couldn't wait to get back to the boat and just hang out on the top deck the lower front door deck in the morning was perfect for Dunkins coffee right around the corner and wine and drinks at night and watch the gorgeous sunset, watch the planes come and go and the night lights just seem to appear. My two teens cooked on the grill on the back deck. We had the best time and the best laughs.

I'm planning to rent again July 09

Excellent way to vaca, August is always good weather to go to Boston

Oh by the way the AC works awesome in the boat if you have hot days. We opened the windows on days we didn't care about the heat.

It's a wonderful way to Holiday
