Beautiful, comfortably furnished large bedroom available for short-term stays in a 2BR Upstairs Apartment in a 1930's Spanish Duplex furnished in "Post Modern Victorian". Quiet yet social, smoke-free, environmentally conscious female household seeks same or compatible who appreciates cats.

Apartment has wood floors (chenille rugs in room), good light, a roof deck with hammocks off the other bedroom including a table, chairs, grill and arbor of giant Burmese honeysuckle. Shared 1930's era tile bathroom with both tub and shower. Depending on length of your stay you can have a full closet and dresser available for your use as well. Room has new cushion firm queen mattress, closet and dresser, small desk and chairs, A/C window unit and oil heater in room for use as needed. Linens and towels provided. This is a fully furnished guest room in a Spanish Colonial Revival Style upstairs/downstairs duplex with gardens and fountains in yard below.. Centrally located near Fairfax and Pico Blvd. Quiet neighborhood with easy street parking. Washer/dryer in unit. Use of kitchen included. Bed linens & towels provided. Easy street parking.

There are cats who live on the premises so if you're allergic or not cat friendly it's probably not the place for you. There are also chickens in a coop in the the backyard garden. Fresh organic eggs and organic produce are available depending on the season. Inquire if interested. No smoking allowed in the house or on the grounds. No chemical cleaners used. Please don't wear chemical perfumes or deoderants. Green conscious, oils and other organic compounds welcome.

There is highspeed wifi but no cable, just a tv with a vcr/dvd input in the comfy living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking but you will need to supply your own foodstuffs. At the corner are a couple of excellent places to eat including Bloom Cafe, Chic, CJ's and others which serve a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as other options closeby including Little Ethiopia (many restaurants), a French bakery, LA Maison du Pain, up the street and Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles. Very close to a number of good restaurants and centrally located in LA to get to downtown, the westside or the valley. Close to the 10 freeway.

Non-smokers only. The room is large enough to accomodate an additional full sized airbed if there is need/interest (see additional costs per person).
Minimum of 2 nights, stay @ $70/night for 1 person. $15 per additional person per day. Nightly rate based on short term stay. Weekly @ $450/week or monthly $1250 + half of utilities. Nightly and weekly pricing includes all utilities except for cable, which would be additional cost per month for longer stays than 1 month.
Additional $40/week charge applies for stays longer than 7 days for cleaning service.
10 minutes to Beverly Hills. 20/25 minutes to Downtown, Santa Monica & Valley.
Near major buslines. Grocery stores, Starbucks and other restaurants closeby.

Walkable to Farmers Market/The Grove as well as Little Ethiopia. Located six blocks south of LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and Wilshire Blvd's Miracle Mile.
Unrestricted street parking. Easy to find spots on street.

I'm a single professional working in the film industry in visual effects. I enjoy reading, gardening, yoga (Iyengar and Anusara), hiking, animals, music, knitting, etc. I spend a lot of time on the computer for work or alternately, on set, depending on the project. Please give me advance notice as much as possible so that if I'm out of town I can make arrangements.

If you have a laptop wifi is included free. If you would like to use one of the computers the iMac has a guest account available for use for an additional $5/day.

For stays beyond 7 days there is a $40/week cleaning surcharge.

If you would like a pickup/dropoff at the airport, this can be arranged for $50/each way, subject to my availability.
