Scott and I had the most wonderful stay with Mike and Eileen. They are fantastic people with such great willingness to help and make sure we were comfortable and able to get around the city in the most convenient ways. They are also dog lovers which is a huge plus in our book :). With this being our first visit to the DC area, Mike and Eileen were so helpful with sharing their ideas on things to do in and around the city. We were so impressed with their hospitality and wonderful cooking! The room in which we stayed and their home is extremely nice and comfortable. The location is great as it is outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown area and is conveniently located by a bus stop which takes you to the metro station if you do not have a vehicle. If and when we have the opportunity to visit DC again, we would love to have the opportunity to stay with the Beard’s again! Thanks so much Mike and Eileen!

Staying with Mike and Eileen was an amazing experience. The room was everything they said it would be, and the hospitality they showed could not have been better. They were very helpful and informative and they made an excellent breakfast every morning. These two are the model for all other BnB hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent in the Country View room at Mike and Eileen's. They are both gracious and helpful hosts, the perfect combination of allowing us privacy and willingness to be at service, and Eileen is a fantastic cook to boot! I would definitely recommend staying with them.

Mike and Eileen are wonderful hosts in a wonderful quiet place. We stayed 3 excellent nights in their Country View Rm. Thanks a lot for the fantastic breakfast, for the rides to the metro station every morning, for all the help to make our stay comfortable, for your hospitality. We highly recommend your place to anyone

We had an excellent time staying with the Beards. Everything, was just as advertised, great neighborhood, very nice room and exceptionally quite. Eileen is a superior cook and puts together great breakfasts. Very gracious hosts!

From the second we arrived we loved Mike and Eileen's place: it was welcoming and they were lovely. The room is very clean, the breakfast is amazing (love that granola and those pancakes- thanks for watching out for my allergies Eileen) and we could get in and out without a hassle. The rides to the station made life easier and all around we are sure we would stay again next time we are in DC. Couldn't fault the stay and it was far better than any hotel for sure! Thanks to both our great hosts, Sarah and Will...

My wife and I had an extended stay in the Country View Rm., while visiting our daughter and son-in-law in DC. The room, home and setting are wonderful. The neighborhood is a beautiful area for walking and relaxing. The breakfasts were excellent, with a creative flair each morning. Our hosts, Michael and Eileen, are wonderful people and the main reason that we extended our stay!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Washington DC a few weeks ago. Mike and Eileen's place was perfect. Just a few minutes from the metro in nice part of Maryland. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, quiche and hot tea were our favorite. Their hospitality and good communication from the beginning was helpful, especially because my wife was 6 months pregnant. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and beautiful. World class treatment, it was everything it was supposed to be great home and wonderful people will return Wayne/Ann Gore

We stayed in the home of Mike and Eileen during our recent vacation in Washington, D.C. Mike and Eileen are gracious and generous hosts. In their beautiful home, our room was spacious and spotless. We had every amenity we needed. The entrance to our room and the bathroom next door was very private as it is situated at the end of a hallway. That extra bit of privacy made our stay even more relaxing. Eileen's breakfasts were excellent. We had an egg casserole or quiche every morning, plus, fresh bread or muffins and bagels, with all the trimmings. We are fairly sure that this experience with Mike and Eileen will spoil us forever as we will use our stay with them as a yardstick with which to judge all future visits. Thanks very much to them both for making our vacation that much more enjoyable and affordable. Stefan, Eva and Samatha
